The AirMaster Ultra™
Air Purification Systems - Airmaster Ultra
Have you ever thought about the quality of the air your family breathes at home? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the air quality in the average home can be 4 to 40 times as dirty as the air outside. Considering how much time your family spends indoors, you owe it to yourself to learn more about the Airmaster Ultra, an air purification system that cleans and freshens air throughout your entire home.
Using natural, light-based processes ultraviolet (UV) and ozone, the Airmaster Ultra reduces odors from pets, cooking and other household sources, leaving behind fresh, clean air. It also reduces many common airborne bacteria and molds.

Benefits of an AirMaster Ultra Air Purification System:
Function
Cleans and freshens the air in your home by sterilizing or killing many contaminants and neutralizing unwanted odors.
Performance
Uses two safe and time-tested technologies: the ultraviolet (UV) light kills many airborne bacteria and molds that contribute to household allergies; the specially designed ozone lamp effectively neutralizes problem odors from pets, cooking and other household sources. Operational status is easily determined at a glance with LED indicators.
Economy
Uses special nonfilament UV lamps that last three times longer than a standard filament lamp. Unit draws just 47 watts-using less power than a standard light bulb.
Fail-Safe Features
Automatic airflow sensor allows the unit to operate only when air is flowing from your furnace or air conditioning system.
Reliability
The only maintenance required is periodically changing the lamps, a service performed by your RainSoft dealer.

How Does the Airmaster Ultra Work?
Installation. The Airmaster Ultra is installed in the air duct in your home’s heating/cooling system. The system works using two safe and time-tested technologies, ultraviolet light and ozone.
UV Purification. Air passes by the light of the UV Lamp.
UV lamp, is where many common bacteria and molds are reduced.*
Ozone Purification. After the air passes by the UV Lamp the air then passes by a specially designed lamp that produces a very small, controlled amount of ozone.
Ozone is a strong oxidizer that reduces problem odors from cooking, pets and other sources, leaving behind fresher, cleaner air.
Continuous Air Quality. Whenever your heating/cooling system is on, the Airmaster Ultra works silently and continuously, leaving fresher, cleaner air throughout your home.
Low Maintenance. The only maintenance the Airmaster Ultra requires is periodically changing the UV and ozone lamps, a service that your RainSoft dealer will perform for you.
*Test performed by independent lab. Test results are available upon request.
Understanding Air Purification
You may be familiar with air filtration products, but the Airmaster Ultra is actually an air purifier. The diagrams below help explain the difference. Air filters are also called “mechanical filters.” They work by trapping particles that are too large to pass through (Fig. 1). They collect larger particles, but may not be as effective for many smaller particles. The filters must be changed on a regular basis, as they fill up with the collected debris
(much like the bag on a vacuum cleaner).
Air purifiers, on the other hand, actually sterilize or kill most contaminants. Both UV and ozone are purification methods. In the Airmaster Ultra, when air passes within the UV light zone (Fig. 2a), most airborne bacteria and molds are killed or sterilized. From there, the air passes by the ozone lamp (Fig. 2b) where odors are neutralized. The process happens continuously and silently as your heating/cooling system runs, and there are no messy filters to change.
Optional Accessory
A remote status indicator is useful when the Airmaster is mounted in an inaccessible location, such as an attic.
